Ether Feast
Ether feast is defined as: Target foe loses 5 Energy. You are healed 8-24 for each point of Energy lost.
So, if the target lost 5 energy you will get 8-24 health X 5 (or a total of 40-120) Or is this similar to healing breeze or troll ugnent, which is regeneration; so you would get 8-24 pips x 5 (or a total of 80-240, because a pip is 2 health)? |

Firstly, you're maxed in the amount of pips you can have. No more than 10 positive or 10 negative (You can have, say -17 pips and +11 pips for a total of -6, so those extra pips aren't lost, they're still counted, they just won't influence your health unless they're canceling out a member of the opposite number).
Secondly, Ether Feast works in the first way you describe. It's a heal, just like Orison, you'll get the health directly. Depends on how much energy you drain but most characters have 5 energy for you to grab, usually. It's only when you're running heavy energy denial that you'll have a problem finding some. If it were to deliver that healing over time, as pips, it would probably say soemthing about "regeneration".
